I am now looking for a new ped after being with Dr. Kong for the past 6 months. He never spent more than 5-10 min. with me at checkups, and never asked any questions (I had to do research to figure out what to ask him). Additionally, he seems more interested in fixing issues with prescriptions than figuring out what is troubling the baby. My son has had rashes since he was born and it wasn't until he broke out in hives after trying out formula (he's exclusively breastfed) that he started to think that his rashes could be an allergic reaction. Additionally, he told me that if I stretch out the time between breastfeeds, my little guy would sleep better at night. This actually caused him to wake up much more frequently (and started a habit of significant night feedings). Even my lactation consultant said "he's a great guy, but knows nothing about breastfeeding." I realized the other day that I no longer trust what he tells me to do...so time to move on.

I first met Dr. Chua Lim when my son was born at John Muir Walnut Creek in 1996. We were new to this country and it was wonderful to happen upon such a good doctor, and such a helpful practice. I have always received intelligent medical advice from her. When my son fell onto a glass table and received a significant gash on his forehead, Dr. Chua Lim got us in immediately and stitched him up - right there in the office. No need to go to the ER and wait for hours. The scar is invisible now 10 years later. My son still simply adores her. I was so helped by Walnut Creek Pediatrics that I switched my older son to Dr. Lustig. My older son stayed with him until he was in college. Dr. Lustig was equally fantastic. I will be sad when my youngest outgrows the best pediatric clinic in the USA

My children are both grown and unfortunately are no longer patients of Dr. Kong's, although my son did continued to see him until he was 21. I don't believe you can find a more caring group of physicians than at WC Pediatrics. Dr. Kong was always patient, understanding and spent as much time as was necessary to answer any/all questions I might have. He always showed interest in the children and what they were doing and how they were doing in school. We miss Dr. Kong.

Dr. Chua-Lim is wonderful with my kids, and never made me feel silly for coming in too often with my new baby. When we've seen Dr. Kong or Dr. Lustig in her place, they've been great with my kids as well. I would recommend any one of them to friends. The advise nurse is also very helpful.
