This hospital is one of my fave because I gave birth there for my last 2. I was disappointed that they didn't give me any goodie bags like they did for my second child. They also charge my hon parking too which just wasn't wonderful for it. Other than those two reasons, I love it. I recommend this hospital to others. Even a Fitness magazine called Fitness RX For Women (1st choice for fitness magazine) had list this hospital as one of the top 20 hospitals in the US.

We took the newborn care class
This class if perfect for parents who have not spent much time around newborns. Its great for dads. My husband learned the basics of putting on a cloth diaper, bathing, swaddling, and how to calm a baby. They also teach about little things to expect in the first few weeks of life. Such as stork bites, or rashes, or mongolian spots, or baby acne.

The midwifery group is great, my birth experience was excellent overall, I got to labor as long as i desired in spite of having GBS, and ended up with a C-section but everyone was really helpful and kind.

I took the lactation and child birth classes and thought they were well taught and gave me the encouragement and knowledge I wanted.

The material for birthing class could have been covered in half the time. Better to just read the book and talk to your friends, physician, and family members for advice or questions.
