Have been to TC several X's and would like parent's to be wary of this firms concern for cost effeciency at the price of a childs welfare. They must really get great bonuses from insurance carriers. These 15 minute inteactions are insulting, worse than a shrinks couch. Referrals to specialty groups that's a laugh, they feel they know it all. What they need to remember is that they took an oath not to do harm when they tell parents, lets' wait and see. These are famous TC physician words. Poor child care needs to be reported to FS or the Pediatric Physicin Assn. Been a nurse for many years never have seen such poor quality of care. Only one Doc has smarts, Dr. Johnston, if she was really smart she'd leave

If your insurance covers them you definitely need to go to them. They are truly the best! I have been to lots of different ob/gyn's due to insurance changing and no one even comes close to their expertise and care. The advice they gave me for my newborn has been carried on to the rest of my children. I wish I could still be with them!

Extremely good physicians - all good in our 11 yrs of experience with them. Convenient (evening & weekends and "question call-in time.")
When our daughter (now 11) was 11 mos she had a hideous virus that gave her relentless fever, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. for 3 weeks. We worried that we saw different doctors almost every visit, but they were all "on the same page" and were all really good. Dr. Rice is gruff and matter-of-fact, but he is caring and knowledgeable - and frankly, brilliant to have founded and managed such a high-quality practice. You'll find a doctor here that suits your style and ALL the doctors are good and can take care of your emergency. We chose it because we knew resident docs at Children's who used the docs here for their kids and have been pleased. My husband and I work in healthcare and know no practice is perfect, and all health practitioners make mistakes (saw couple examples on comments here). But I know there are definitely T&C docs who would happily see an 18 month old on your lap (or my 6 1/2 year old newly adopted boy too). The docs all have different styles as all people do: Polin: disarming with gentle humor and matter of fact. Wyman is patient and encouraged my preadolescent to ask questions in front of mom. Kazdin: efficient, matter of fact, dry sense of humor (we love her, others might find her chilly). Blade: caring, gentle, expert at kids with emotional or abuse issues. Goldberg, Papacek, Johnston, Cherian are all kind and expert, we see them less but liked them. The founder; Dr. Rice is gruff but expert and caring-he's the reason you never wait more than 15 minutes and they've got this many great docs. We've seen every one except Hirsch and we're sure he's great. My kids are very different and both have gotten great care (one kid wasn't sent to a specialist soon enough but the doctor's spectacular care in a difficult situation MUCH more than made up for it).
Lincoln Pk location is much larger and may feel less personal than the Lincoln Devon office. No problem to see people at both (although need chart transferred in time so a day or 2 notice is good).

I went to T&C when my kids were small mostly because it was convienent. My son was diagnoised with autism(not noticed by doctors at T&C) I needed a little extra attention and did not get it. I was actually told they have 32,000 patients and each patient gets 15 minutes. I guess that explains why they would never clean the wax out of my kids ear and always told me to go to the ENT. I have since left the practice and have found a pediatrican that will take time with me and my kids and as a bonus they will even clean the wax out of my kids ear.

I know that a lot of people use T&C but we were not happy with them. As new parents, we felt like we were burdening them with our questions. All appointments felt rushed and were not conducive to understanding more about our new baby. We ended up going elsewhere and are really happy with our current pediatrician.
