QuoteThis class is AWESOME! Farel is an amazing instructor who makes everyone feel like family. She's so encouraging and energetic, it's easy for her to make you want to workout as hard as you can. There isn't a better feeling than being a little bit sore after you have an amazing workout! Stroller Strides is such a wonderful program because you meet other new Moms and also get to 'play' with your children and teach them that being healthy is not only important but that it's fun!

QuoteStroller Strides saved me as a new mom in so many ways. I was so frightened to leave my house in the first three months. I had a scary delivery that lead to a premature baby. I was afraid to take my new, tiny baby out anywhere. My first Stroller Strides class changed all of that. I was outside working out, my baby was protected and with me, and I had an invaluable network of other moms. I was hooked at the very first class. Farel teaches a physically challenging (appropriate for all fitness levels) and fun class. She is personable, motivating, and spirited. It has been five years since my first class. My daughter is in Kindergarten, and I have not had any more children. I miss the classes, and have not found anything else that compares to them. In fact, I gained five pounds once my daughter was too big to take to class, and I stopped. I need to borrow someone's baby and stroller and head back! I highly recommend the Vista class (and any Stroller Strides class) to all moms.

QuoteVista SS class ROCKS! Farel gets to know each member and she makes me feel so important every time I go to class. She knows everyone's children and is sensitive to their personalities. She pushes us to become more fit in our lives- healthy emotionally as well as physically. She is the best and most inspiring trainer and teacher. I joined stroller strides and go to this class because of her, and definitely appreciate the great shape it got me into, especially for the birth of my second. I can't wait to get back to class because I know that with Farel my baby weight will come off quickly.

QuoteI started Stroller Strides in Vista/Shadowridge when my daughter was 8 weeks old. Taking on my new role as a 1st time stay at home mom after working full time was a life altering change. My husband and I no longer had the same freedom. SS was my/our saviour! I had read about SS while still pregnant and thought that it could be something that I might persue when baby came. A friend also shared her SS experience w/me. Without knowing what to expect,I ventured to the park w/my daughter when she was 6 weeks old to see what SS was all about and was sold! Farel greeted me with a warm smile, encouragement and excitement. At each class I was greeted by very friendly and supportive moms who I can honestly say made me look forward to the next class. SS is a different experience for each mom. To me it is about feeling good emotionally and spiritually, and being the best you can be - you cannot get this at the gym. SS is a "Village" of support; if you need something, the "Village" is there for you regardless of the need (ie a physical challenge or emotional support). SS is fabulous and fun for mom and baby!

QuoteI started Stroller Strides in Shadowridge when my daughter was 8 weeks. I was exhausted and bewildered by motherhood. I went from a full time job and social life to feeling like a shut in with a premie who wasn't supposed to leave the house. When I went to the park I didn't know what to expect and was greeted with such enthusiasm and outreach by Farel, the instructor, and all the women. They all knew what I was going through and had answers to so many questions. I had the opportunity to watch and learn so many parenting styles and had a village of moms to help at each stage. My daughter is 2 and half now and we still go to class. Her very best friends are all from SS and they all live within a few miles of us. It has become our playgroup circle, my book club, and my fitness outlet. One of the best parts for me is that my daughter knows how important exercise is and cheers us on as we run or do resistance training. It gives me pride to be a role model in fitness for my daughter.
