QuoteI have enjoyed Stroller Strides from 6 weeks after my daughter's birth and continue now that I am expecting my second in a few months. It is a great way to trim down after the baby and stay fit with a workout tailored to all stages of a mom's life. My daughter really enjoys the outdoor time and seeing the other kids and the camaraderie with the other moms is very motivating. I also feel it's a great way to instill a lifetime love of fitness in children as well since they are actually part of the fitness routine rather than being dumped off somewhere else and not seeing mom get her workout in.

QuoteI was new in town with an infant in tow and looking for a way to exercise and meet people. Stroller Strides was the perfect thing for me. I love being outside, having people to work out with, and finding a fun way to get in shape. As a prior athlete, I was sceptical about the workout itself when i went to the first class, but no worries there! It is as difficult as you want it to be.

QuoteI started with Stroller Strides on my daughter's 6 week birthday and now she's almost 2 years old! The great thing about Stroller Strides is the opportunity for working at your own level. Just a few weeks post-partum, I walked at a slower pace, used an exercise band with less resistance, and did low-impact versions of the cardio bursts. But as my strength and endurance grew, there was plenty of room for increasing the intensity of the exercises. The classes are a nice mix of moms at various levels of fitness and the instructors tailor the activities to the needs of the participants on each day. I can't say enough good things about how much I enjoyed working out with my baby and connecting with such interesting women in the classes.

QuoteFor getting back into shape after pregnancy, I would really recommend Stroller Strides. I did it with our daughter as a new mom last year and after a few weeks, I got a "nice butt" comment from my husband, so I think it works! Stroller Strides is back under new management and the schedule is better (more classes in more places in DC) and the workouts a bit tougher. You don’t need any equipment - just your child in a stroller and you power walking behind it; the instructor provides the bands and workout. What I like best is that this is the kind of exercise you can do with your baby, rather than chancing it with a gym day care (I found that once I got the baby, the gear and me all loaded up and at the gym, the day care was invariably full). The rates are reasonable and there is a social aspect, too, of getting to visit with other new moms struggling through the same challenges. First class is always free, so you can see if it works for you before committing.

QuoteForget gym daycares or expensive babysitters--you will get a fabulous workout with your baby in tow! The instructors are high energy and really know their stuff. Also there are MANY locations in the DC area.
