I had my first at St. Johns and it was great. The nurses were wonderful.

I have delivered both of my children at this hospital. Both times I had a great experience. The staff were great and very responsive. The hospital offers great childbirth prep classes, breastfeeding classes, and classes for siblings, among many others. Wonderful lactation support as well.

They don't call it "The Baby Factory" for nothing. All private rooms for mothers. Room-in with baby, or allow nursery to care for him/her. Superb lactation consultants. Room service. Makes staying in the hospital as comfortable and pleasant as possible. I wouldn't deliver my babies anywhere else.

There is a great, free group for new moms of young babies. It's held at the hospital on the second floor of the main building from 10-11:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month. There are speakers at every meeting and time is left at the end for socializing and playing. The group is led by a very experienced nurse and it is a great way to get out of the house in that first year with your baby.
