Good playground, nice nature are around.

The playground is just a normal playground, with fairly nice equipment. The real draw of this place is the setting as it is located right on spy pond. This allows for goose and swan watching and also for some fabulous breezes on a hot day. In the spring the dogwoods are blooming and it is gorgeous to stroll along the shore. The path eventually meets up with the minute man bike path and leads you to alewife in no time.

Living in heart of Somerville it's really tough to find a place nearby where we can get close to nature, relax, exercise and view the lovely water, ducks and trees, and R-E-L-A-X!
Don't have to worry about traffic, crowds, rushing around or keeping kids on short noose or tight leash. Park is right next to Spy Pond. Small park, but good for keeping eye on the kids without worry. Kids can go right up to water to see ducks. No swimming tho. Really pretty place and close by.

A beautiful pondside setting, but the playground itself is quite small and the geese can be aggressive.

right on the pond, close to the bike path, and a sandy ground make this place fun year round.
