I was first introduced to this restaurant when I attended a friend's baby shower, it was wonderful. So I decided it would be the perfect place to have our twins birthday party -- we all had a blast and had yummy food!!! We sat in the train car which is so unique and the boys loved it so much. Our servers really made the day special, very attentive and playful with the kids. I had lasagne and honestly have had none better! We will definitely be back. The staff, managers and food were all above my expectations. Well done Spaghetti Warehouse.

I remember eating at the Spaghetti Warehouse when I was in college, because it was next door to a venue that played live jazz (remember the Jazz Cellar?) What I didn't remember is how bad the food is. I recently took my Mom there for lunch and we were very disappointed. We recently received a "buy one get one free" coupon, so we gave it a shot.
We had the lasagne and the spaghetti, neither of them were any good. The sauce was thick like cement, and definitely not tasty.
I do not recommend this restaurant.

This is an interesting restaurant. The ambiance (when it's clean and quiet) is actually a lot better than the food. I love how you enter it! It's also a great restaurant for the kids because it's cheap! Spaghetti warehouse is one of the few restaurants that offers a drink and dessert and an appetizer with the Entree and salad for 1 price! So gotta love that.
HOwever, as a person who loves to cook and loves to try to find new dishes to treat my family with and tempt their palates, I would never brag about the food here, which is above average at best. Sorry, just being honest.
But what can you expect for the price.
Wednesdays is the "deal" day. Spaghetti for less and your wallet and tummy will thank you. For those who like myself make a delicious spaghetti at home when due not having so many time constraints, pass on this "deal".

Is kind of hit or miss with this place. Used to be fantastic all the time. The last few times I have gone there the wait staff was disinterested, the wait was long and the food wasn't anything above passable. I used to go there all the time at lunch and the food was wonderful. I don't know what happened. For the money, especially lunch, it is a good value. You do get a lot of food. But if the food isn't good, it's not a value. I think they need to train their wait staff better. http://www.lilaguide.com/images/btn_submit.gif

We have lived in Tampa for a number of years but this was the first (and last) time we tried the Spaghetti Warehouse. I had often heard it was kid-friendly and since I have a 9 month old son, it seemed like a safe bet for what we thought would be Olive Garden type quality food. What we got was so awful it made the Olive Garden look like Berns.
Our appetizer of stuffed mushrooms was undercooked--like they had just shoved some hunks of fried sausage into raw mushrooms, slapped on some sauce and cheese and put it under the broiler for a moment. The Italian wedding soup tasted (and looked) like Lipton noodle soup with frozen spinach and a few meatballs and chicken chunks thrown in.
We waited a long time for the entrees--my son was getting fussy and I was wondering what was taking the kitchen so long. Several times our server (who was actually very nice) came out and appologized and promised that everything was "coming right up." Finally, nearly 45 min after we ordered, we got the entrees and it went from bad to worse.
My husband ordered spag and meatballs and asked them to add mushrooms. What came to the table was a nauseating mess of overcooked spaghetti, canned sauce, spongy meatballs and what were obviously canned mushrooms they had barely bothered to heat before they tossed them on top.
My sister ordered a chicken mushroom pasta dish and got what looked like overdone spaghetti mixed with cream of mushroom soup and canned mushrooms with a few dry chicken chunks on top.
I had ordered the Chicken Marsala with roasted veggies instead of the side of pasta alfredo that usually comes with the meal. I got two dry, hard little pieces of chicken swimming in a lake of what was obviously canned brown gravy and still got the fettichini alfredo but with a few roasted vegetables, drenched in oil, on top.
The worst thing was when we looked at the bill. $60.00! I could NOT believe it. For slop they should be ashamed to serve they charged a huge amount. I could have gone to McDonalds and gotten better quality food. Disgusting!
I see other, older reviews of this place that seem to have positive things to say. All I can think is that maybe there has been a recent downturn in the quality of the food. I know we're all having hard economic times so maybe the kitchen staff is cutting corners. But there is no excuse for serving such low quality, horrible food and overcharging for it in such a ridiculous manner. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the server was nice. We tipped him well--it wasn't his fault this place is a slop house. But we will NEVER go again.
So, a word to the wise--if you're looking for good Italian food and the historic charm of Ybor city go to the Laughing Cat. They are excellent, great service and fabulous food and don't cost much more than the horrible SW. I truely felt robbed by my trip there and would like to prevent anyone else from having a similar experience.
