QuoteBest pediatric group!! We've been going there for 15 years. I've never had a problem getting my child in for a sick child visit on the same day. I just made an appointment for a school physicial and have an appointment in 3 days. There has only been a few times we've had to wait about 10 minutes past our appointment time to see the doctor. The nurses and staff are very helpful. You can tell that they care about there jobs and the families that come through there. They have even expanded their hours. I work at another pediatric office and the patients always have to wait, wait, wait.

QuoteThe Dr's there are wonderful if you can ever get in. Unless you plan to take your children out of school for the entire day and sit in the office for 1 hour past your scheduled apt., it's great. I have never been able to get in there and have my scheduled apt on time. Always running late. They are unable to schedule their time correctly.

QuoteWe interviewed somewhere in the ballpark of 5 ped ofcs when we were pregnant with our daughter 2 years ago. When I met with Dr. Spewak, I knew the search was over instantly. We know many people that use this ofc and we are familiar with the staff. We have seen all of the docs on staff and have no complaints. Dr. Spewak trained under my peditrician as a childas well as having fathered and raised 4 sons on his own. Dr. Spewak takes his time in speaking to us about any questions and concerns we have at all. We never feel rushed and we leave feeling as if he knows our children individually. When my son was born we thought there was a possibility of reflux and I have some experience in the medical field which led to my reluctance in medicating. Spewak alleviated my concerns and we temporarily medicated and alleviated the problem. I have never been made to feel hurried, unheard or as if I am a bad parent. The ladies at the desks all asked to meet my boy when he was born because they knew my daughter by then. They know me by name when I call to ask questions, I feel as if I am answered without judgement. Often as new moms we can be critical of ourselves and we can misinterpret information due to sensitivity and lack of sleep or even lack of confidence. I feel as though Spewak and staff have all been more than helpful with making me feel like I know what I am doing and that I have happy, healthy kids. They are also always quick to ask if I need formula or if my daughter got a cookie & a sticker, special personal touches.

QuoteWe had talked to O'Neill while pregnant, and thought he was OK...laid back etc. I can agree with the mom that said they aren't quick to medicate, but sometimes you need to medicate. My daughter had severe reflux, and I was SURE it was that from the day the screaming started. He kept telling me it was just colic, and that reflux is over-diagnosed. He finally agreed to give her a prescription (believe me I would have preferred no meds but she was in serious pain). He said "If it doesn't work, it means she doesn't have reflux." Which is stupid--if one med doesn't work, try another. It turns out the dose he gave us was only 1/3 of what she needed for her weight (guess what, it didn't work.) When I called back, they refused to change the meds and told me to put a hot water bottle on her belly for her COLIC. He also told me that nothing I could eat would have any effect on her. Also stupid. She's 18 months (still nursing) with multiple food allergies, and in spite of our limited diets, a lot of what I eat STILL affects her (and she's only off her reflux meds for 2 months). Her new ped, and the GI doc she sent us to for the reflux said "of course it's reflux" when I listed her symptoms. O'Neill also told me to put my 1-month old screaming-in-pain baby in her crib, close the door and let her cry because she was manipulating me into making me hold her. Told me that the reason my daughter was so big was that I was feeding her every time she cried (we had not discussed her feeding habits...I explained that she nursed for 5 minutes, every 3 hours, did that sound like too much?) I walked in to the appt. tired but feeling good about my parenting instincts, and he made me fell like I was doing everything wrong, which is awful for a new parent. I've talked to other parents of reflux kids who also had to leave the practice.

QuoteMy son has many health problems so we seem to be in Dr. O'Neil's office frequently. The office staff is very kind and helpful, and they always seem to be able to fit us in at the last minute if something is wrong. Dr. O'Neil is wonderful, and the other doctors are great as well.
