My son has had nothing but the best at Snip its. We go to the same person every time, Lisa. She is kind, funny, patient and gives a fantastic hair cut. (Many of my friends drive from far away to go to her). Lisa has taken what has been a difficult outing and made it into total fun and pleasure. As I have older children, I only wish that I had found Lisa at Snip its years ago. It would have saved considerable heartache - not to mention bad hair cuts. The cost at Snip Its seems a bit high, but to avoid the other issues is a pleasure

Today was my sons 4th haircut. My first experience was great in Brooklyn, NY. The 2nd & 3rd, I did myself. And then there was today... I just went there today and left crying. Not only did this nasty woman named LISA butcher my sons beautiful hair, but her attitude was ridiculous! My son sat patiently... yet crying to get out of the chair the whole time. And her solution was to keep feeding him animal crackers even though I said we just ate and he didnt need any (almost gagging one time because he was crying and she shoved one in). I asked for her to keep his hair long, just trim it up and layer it a bunch, leave it long over the ears and no bowl cut. Well... it ended up like a bowl cut, she wanted to get the trimmers out to shave down the sides of his head to even out the damage, the back was so short in the wrong spots & and so long on the top of his head... and crooked that i could have done a better job with my eyes shut! Not to mention that I told her I saw a web coupon for $3 off but couldnt print it because i didnt have a printer at home and asked if she could honor it... and her response was so nasty that it would seem like i was asking her to give me the $1 out of her pocket. Then when I tried to tell her that the cut was nothing of what I asked for... she got defensive, of course. Then I went to the manager to explain what happened and how disappointed I was... out of nowhere she came flying off the handle attacking me. Saying that I was out of control (when she clearly was) and that I wasnt the only mom in the place (never said i was). Then said she went above and beyond for my son (WHAT??!!), and this is how I thank her for that. I clearly mentioned that with her hostility she shouldnt be working near children. She continually insulted me and the manager had to ask her to step outside and collect herself. The manager tried to apologize for her.... but WHAT? all this over a haircut! SO DISAPPOINTED and stressed out from this experience. Anyone else know of someplace to go that is positive. And the atmosphere... my son could care less about. Now... if he was able to sit on a real tractor when this was happening.... that would have been impressive to him.

I have been here a few times with my son. The quality of the haircut is much less than the high price. Its a fun place, but probably not worth it.

I have brought my son to get his hair cut here now three times. Only once (the first time) did the stylist listen to how much to cut. I said 1/4th inch, but got one inch istead. Also, the left and right sides were not cut around his ear the same, I would go back to have them fix it, but I rather do it myself. I have learned my lesson will not go to any snip-it's again. I'd prefer to pay extra and get a decent haircut were I don't have to wait a few weeks for my son hair to grow and look okay. They are friendly, but that's not enough to go back.

The "magic" behind giving kids a fast haircut is they bribe them with candy! I was horrified, and my kids got a terrible haircut - for $17 each! What a racket.
