This is a nice store with clothing and other items for children. I consigned about 20 winter items and most of them sold within two weeks. Their selection of items is what you should expect from an "upscale" consignment store.
The owners could certainly have been more helpful in explaining their consignment process while I was there. I should not have had to ask so many questions. Regardless, they accounted for every item and paid me as promised.
Unlike the other reviewers, my children were welcomed to the store and allowed to roam around it while I consigned the items (and Mommy went to the hair salon). They were given toys to play with when the clothing items were listed into the computer. Perhaps the owners like kids that are reasonably well behaved. My kids are no angels, but they are taught not to touch without first asking permission when entering a store.

The owners are condescending and rude. I have been to other consignment shops and have not encountered problems like this. Perhaps owning a shop that caters to children and parents, is not the best outlet for them, since they seem to strongly dislike people so much. I have found some of thier marked down items to be a good deal.

Like the other posters, I had the unfortunate experience of being subjected to the owner's rudeness. The first time I brought in clothes to sell for consignment, she took them, but scolded me about the items she couldn't accept. I figured maybe she had a bad day, so I decided to give them a second chance months later. Again, while she accepted most of the clothes, she again scolded for those she couldn't accept. So I never went back and never will. Would it hurt for them to simply say, "I'm sorry, we can't accept this item because of..." Do they need to be harsh and condescending?

Overall it's a good consignment store. Linda is picky about the merchandise she takes but sometimes I think she prices it high than it's really worth. With that being said, I feel like I've gotten some good deals on things that we only need for a short period of time.

The clothes were all in pretty good condition, but I (like other moms) had a gentleman mumble about some books being in the floor (that I was in the process of cleaning up) and the woman owner said (complained about) something to him about the rocking chair my son was sitting in bumping up against the wall. What is going on with these people?? If they cannot deal with kids being kids in their consignment shop, I suggest they start consigning juniors/adult attire. I haven't been back since and will spend my money at Snickerdoodles from now on.
