Jen's photos of my kids made me cry. She somehow managed to capture the quiet loveliness of them through the usual kid chaos. I was surprised that we had such a good time during our session. Jen made us all so comfortable and able to behave naturally. I would definitely use her again.

I have had the pleasure of working with She Saw Things Photography twice, once at our home in our own back yard and once at a park. During both sessions my three darling children decided to take on the Mr. Hyde side of their characters. My oldest couldn’t get enough camera time and my younger two all but refused to perform. Jen Downer, with all of her creative genius, somehow slipped through the cracks of my kid’s fits and caught their personalities so beautifully that when I finally saw the pictures they took my breath away. By using nature and encouraging my family to just be (no stiff posses) Jen captured the sweetness of this time in my family’s life. Through Jen’s work I have locked in time images of my beautiful children’s playful innocence as well as priceless pictures of my husband and I.

Jen is an absolute joy to work with. She took pictures of our daughter for her one-year birthday and they are amazing! She captured our daughter so perfectly. I am so very happy that I found Jen and we plan on using her every year. We would highly recommend her to anyone - she also does families, maternity and shots of teeny tiny ones.
