I have been talking my daughter the sender ped since she was one years old and i loved how kid friendly the staff the facility was. my daughter had caught a cold in july and could not get rid of the cough. I tool her the doc there and she diagnosed her with severe allergies and prescribed allergy med (clariton)so after a while her cough still didnt go away it got WORSE! then i took her to see Dr. Flek and he upped her dosage to Zyteck in the morning, nasal spray during the day, and benadryl at night. Even though I thought that was way to much meds for her i though a doc would know more than me. After about 2 weeks her caught got so severe she was throwing up and coughing every min, she could not go to sleep at night or take naps and she barley wanted to eat. one night i took her to the ER and the doc look her over real good and diagnosed her with an respiratory infection and an ear infection which was only making her worse. he prescribed her some antibiotics and it cleared her up in two days and this is since the 15th on this month, she has not coughed once. I m very upset at Senders Ped that they didnt catch this and she could have developed phenomena if it wasent treated. They pumped a two year with all different kinds of allergy meds and she don't even have allergies. this was two doc form SP that "looked" at her and didnt even catch her ear infection. I will def be changing peds for my daughter to a doc that wont just do the basic check up and guess a diagnosis. I need a doc that will look at her inside and out and make an educated diagnosis! The Doctors and Staff are EXCELLENT! They are very knowledgeable and great with children as well as the parents. Their office is also Fabulous my son loves the tree slide!

All of the doctors and nurses are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very kid friendly and have books and toys in every room. The rooms all have themes and are brightly colored and interesting for the little ones. They are open on weekends! They even have their own lactation consultants which I found to be extremely helpful!

I actually knew Dr Jill Sangree prior to finding a ped. but I know she'd be the right fit for us, she's young, and just had a baby herself at the time. So I recommend her. We met Dr. Fleck at UH when he did his rounds, he's super nice and friendly. We now see Mary Alice the nurse practioner. She's young, super sweet and helpful with crazy situations. All of the staff and dr's that i have met seem to refer to natural methods of healing rather than meds. Which is great, because who needs a drugged up kid. They even give antibiotics sparingly unless it's a truely obvious infection. They are all great with information and education. They have everyhing on health topics, so rather than calling the dr every time i have a question, i refer to that first. A lot of helpful info there!!!

so far we really like this practice, although our daughter is only 3 months old. we've been a bit frustrated trying to schedule well-visits with our pediatrician, but she is really great. would definitely recommend jill sangree - she has a baby too and knows what it's like to be young, new parents. they have a great research dept and a fun waiting room now that they are on green road. sometimes it takes a while to get a call back if you phone in with a question - but i'm sure that's true with any pediatrician.
