If you don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a professional photographer then Sears is your place. I'm not sure how knowledgeable the staff is about photography but the pictures always turn out nice and they have many packages available. We always had our family photos done at Olan Mills but they are no longer in business so Sears is the next best thing.

I agree that the employees are (usually) very young, but I think we can all remember getting our first job, etc. Don't be afraid to say exactly what you want or speak up if you're not happy with the pictures. Just be sincere and they will get it right for you!

Sears is great for portraits regarding price. But their photographers often don't seem to know what they are doing when it comes to photography. they often look young, college age. But if you are willing to "get in there" and tell them what you want and make sure the shots are good, you can often get nice photos for a good price.

We've always had good luck going to Sears (happy smiling kids and cute photos)....if we've scheduled an appointment. You can get great coupons and the smile saver program offers extra benefits.
