Seal Swim School has taught all 4 of my children to swim. I started my children as infants and my oldest is now 13. All of my children were swimming as babies and doing strokes across the pool by the time they were 3. I can't say enough about Seal Swim School and its staff!!!

We love Seal! It has been an amazing experience for both my children and myself! I have a 3 year old son and a 15month old daughter and both are doing extremly well. My son cried for about 6 lessons, but his instructor Ms. Kristin has been amazing and very patient with him. The front office has been so helpful and patient with a very nervous mommy. My daughter is in the parent tot class and is becoming a little fish! I could not be happier with Seal and its instructors!

"Your kids will cry, but they will get over it"...don't go unless your kids can already swim! This school beleives in letting/making kids cry and using harsh/aggressive teaching tactics. If you probe when you call they will admit it to you. Imagine a preschool where they make the kids cry to potty train them and you are treated as an idiot if you don't buy in to the fact that it is OK to make kids cry to teach them something.
Parents are not allowed near the pool (a first warning sign). While "most" kids give in/up eventually, if your child is at all sensitive they will be in the minority and be traumitized as my kids were.
I realize that as a business strategy it takes more time, energy and effort to treat kids gently...therefore not profitable for them. Must teach a certain way, and ignore a chid's instincts and force them rather than build trust.
I would stay away from an "institutionized" place like this where there business strategy is "one size fits all" with no exceptions. They are nice but very aggressive in the pool with these kids.

I have attended Seal for approximately 1 year...the facility is great and the instruction even better! My experience at this swim school has always been positive and the staff at Seal makes us feel like part of the Seal family. If I have a concern they always take care of it quickly and professionally...I have been to other swim schools and Seal Swim School is by far my favorite. I would never take my child to ISR after seeing the fear of the water my friend's child developed from that program!!!!

Seal Swim School is WONDERFUL at teaching kids to swim. Although they are pretty expensive, I think their courses are worth the money. Follow-up with swimming at home is vital, though. My girls haven't retained much of what they learned, through no fault of the school. We just need to jump in the pool more!
