I bought a changing pad cover which did not fit, and brought it back for a refund. The guy there told me there is nothing wrong with the cover, and I will never find what I am looking for and will never be happy. As he walked away from me, with his back towards me, he said ... "you are getting store credit, and that's it". It was the rudest, most obnoxious attitude I've experienced. I am never setting my foot in that store again, and am so glad I did not give them more business! I would so much rather overpay elsewhere, since the price difference is not more than 5% - 8% and only on certain things.

QuoteI purchased baby furniture from Schneider's a few months ago and wanted to warn others about this store. Beware of a few things - they state that the furniture will be available much sooner than it really is (it took twice as long) and they also promised free delivery on one of the items (and they later refused to honor this part of the agreement). The owners Lorraine and Alan are crooks and will do anything to get your business. Beware and shop elsewhere, regardless of the price difference. The hassle of dealing with them is just not worth it.

Well I got this rude, ultra-paranoid lady on the line telling me that she wouldn't give their prices on the phone because I could be competition. She began asking me all sorts of questions like which store quoted me the prices I had and when all was said and done...she finally said "we won't give a price on the phone, but we will beat anyones price by a lot...oh and it depends on how many pieces you plan to buy...are you going to buy four pieces?" At that point I was so ticked off by her rude unprofessionalism that I simply hung up. I'd rather take my business anywhere else. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!!

She did not explain the features of the crib, but was insistant about us purchasing certain brands because they were not made in China. She consistantly spoke about China's products and lack of quality, etc...I was turned off not only because I'm Asian, but simply because she was not listening to our needs and what we were looking for. She was not able to describe the features of the products - just simply poor sales sense. If shopping for baby furniture is this disappointing, especially for first time parents, this place really knew how to disappoint. Baby furniture shopping should be enjoyable and exciting - go to Behr's instead!
