It is a great place for th ekids to run , to get a train ride and to see the animals. Great locations of the restaurants in the Zoo.

Things have definitely improved since I used to go there as a kid. We took our daughter for the first time when she was 17 months old. We had been trying to teach her animal sounds. So, it was fun to point out the actual animal to her and make the sound. Go early, and look for street parking. The lot fills up quickly.

Who wouldn't love this place! Beautiful, clean, the kids love the animals, the setting, and the steam train!!!

THank goodness the Zoo finally remodeled! As a native San Franciscan, the zoo was the last place we would go, because it was old and decrepid and depressing. Now that they have remodeled it is alot better and there are still alot of exhibits that are under construction, but I believe they are to be opened by summer 2008 - which will make it top notch!
