QuoteA great place for little ones. Check out the Miss Frizzle "lectures" on weekends. They're free with admission and while often over the top, they are big with the kids. Especially 4-7 year olds.

QuoteKids love looking at the dead animals here, and they've got some live ones, too-- a rattlesnake, scorpion, and tarantula. There's a permanent fossils exhibit where you can excavate. A few dinosaur skeletons here. There's always a couple of traveling exhibits. The Magic Schoolbus does a class here occasionally, and they have different classes and excursions for families. Go on a free Tuesday if you don't mind crowds.

QuoteNot very interesting for small children. Very much a traditional museum and not a lot of hands-on exhibits.

QuoteAs natural history museums go, this is not a very good one. The exhibits I've seen were disorganized and lacked appeal.
