great hike for a stroller as it's paved all the way up. Its uphill most of the way so gives a good workout and there's lots of dog-spotting to keep the toddlers happy.

Great trail to walk or run alone, with friends or with a dog. Usually busy during weekdays, where unemployed actors like to get exercise.

A great hike right in the middle of the city. Runyon Canyon has very wide paths that vary from shallow to steep inclines. It's a very popular and dog friendly park, so your child may or may not feel comfortable walking around amongst all the dogs. Great place for a baby bjorn or other carrier.

Great in-city spot for walking and hiking. Not much for kids other than great views and open space. You can bring your dog and go off-leash too.
