I absolutely agree with MicaB7 about Dr. Dodge, but the other 3 doctors at this practice are great. Dr. Mannisto & Dr. Folcick are my favorites. It took me a couple of visits to warm up to Dr. Shaw, but I really do like him now. The office is very well run, the staff is polite and you can always get an appointment when you need one.

My children have been seen by the Royal Oak Pediatricians since we moved to Michigan almost 8 years ago. Dr. Mannisto, Dr. Shaw, and Dr. Folcick-Gerken (the newest member of their team) are my favorites. I have NEVER had a challenge being seen when and if we have an issue...even on Saturdays!
These doctors have helped my family navigate complicated issues like serious food allergies and developmental issues. My concerns about my children are always addressed and respected by all except Dr. Dodge and that is very important to me.
The only real con I can share is that Dr. Dodge does not (always) have the best bedside manner. I feel dismissed by him in most cases, especially when it comes to my daughter. He seems to do better with my son. Dr. Dodge is usually the physician who is on call when the office is closed. No one wants to have to make a middle of the night call to a doctor, and I am often reluctant to do it. During those calls, I find Dr. Dodge a bit abrupt and not reassuring. Dr. Dodge is ok (IMHO), but only if I don't have a choice between the other three.

I have been taking my kids to this office for 24 years.The doctors are very caring. I would recommend Dr. Mannisto. You can always get in with a sick child; they have never refused me a same day appointment.

my child was suffering from sleep apnea and it was bad..the doctors over there r good and did wats userful to do
