They were always courteous to me and tried to be accommodating, even when I called them last-minute looking for a sitter. All the sitters who came were professional, albeit a few were a little eccentric, but that's probably due more to the kind of personalities who do this line of work.

We have used this service twice and it was a mixed bag. Our first experience was fine. The second time, we had to cut short a New Year's Eve dinner because the babysitter overreacted, calling us home after one of our kids pretended to be sick (and really wasn't). To make it even worse the sitter charged us her full fee for only working half of the time expected. We're still steaming about it.

Rent-A-Parent is amazing. The staff was exceptionally helpful to me when I needed a one-time sitter to watch my 2-1/2 year old and 5 year old boys when I went into labor with my 3rd child. They were willing to work with me and have someone "on-call" 24/7 which was above and beyond what I had hoped for.

babysitters are well screened professionals. during the summers you get many highly qualified teachers as sitters. although expensive, this service is well worth it when you are in a pinch!
