Every time I enter the Queen's shop, I smile. Her work is stunning and so original! Seeing her unique and beautiful pieces makes me want to be a little princess again. I'm amazed at the work she puts into each individual piece - her creativity is astounding. The colors and patterns are one of a kind - great custom work! She has some wonderful, whimsical upholstered pieces also that would please any special child in your life. Spend some time talking to the Queen - she has a great ability to pull something together for you or she can customize your own piece. I'm on my way back to the shop tomorrow - hopefully to decide on that "special" purchase!

The Queen is incredibly gifted, and her Studio is a reflection of her vision and style. I love to go in...something is always new and tantalizing. The colors and the little touches on her pieces are what make them unique and eye-catching. My favorite place for gifts for little and not-so-little princesses. I am a Grandma in Naperville who is thrilled to have found Peterine Svoboda! Her shop is a delightful showcase of her creative, hand-painted one-of-a-kind funiture, accessories, wall decor, soft angel dolls & much more. She will create custom pieces using your furniture or she may find just the piece you have in mind tucked away in back of the shop. She gathers interesting furniture, lamps, etc. from various sources and turns them into true works of art. You will see lots of PINK and lots of hearts in the shop, but I was looking for a gender neutral furniture for my daughter's 3 (soon to be 4) pre-school children. I had color swatches, a strip of border with monkeys and NO ideas. Peterine found a child size roll top desk with a wonderful little chair. She also had a small table with 2 sturdy little chairs. She created a perfect custom lamp at a reasonable price using a glass base she had on hand. She found a wonderful night stand too. Her creativity is amazing! The desk & table are soft blues and greens and yellows with checkers and stripes and other fun patterns. On the table top she created a "Monkey Marching Band" that matches the wallpaper border EXACTLY. And she had never done monkeys before! Her prices are very fair--based on the degree of design and detail you want! Peterine is a joy to work with. Warning--allow some time for your visit because you will want to stay and visit with this amazing lady. I feel like we are old friends. P.S. When I went to pick up my treasures, I couldn't resist a "ready to go" little girl rocking chair awash in pink hearts & patterns and colors. It's Stephanie's first birthday Sunday! You all need to meet her majesty the queen. What a delightfully personable and talented woman!!! The store is one you will not want to drive past. It is colorful and filled with hand painted and upholstered treasures, furnishings and the best place for baby, toddler, and big girl and really big girl things. This is the first place I go for gifts for all ages. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
