I was in and out of this hospital multiple times before giving birth and then had our little girl as well here. It is friendly, quiet, and recently remodeled/upgraded services. You do have to move rooms from the birthing rooms to overnight rooms after birth but I honestly couldn't tell what the difference was in the rooms

I had a great experience having my son @ Providence Portland. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about were the number of people who come into your labor and delivery room. It's like you never get to sleep! Everyone was friendly and very helpful, though.

This is great for any new mom looking to connect with other new moms. The facilitator is knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. She coordinates guest speakers, in class conversations, answers ALL questions and even organizes playgroups for outside of class.

My husband and I took Childbirth Preparation, Newborn Care, and Breastfeeding before we had our daughter. They were all wonderful classes. Encourage your spouse to attend the breastfeeding class...it was really beneficial for both of us!
