My daughter's pediatrician first told me about PEPS. My daughter and I joined the newborn group and I'm so glad that we did! As a first time mom, getting together weekly with the ladies and babies has been such an important social outlet. My group is filled with other mothers who are supportive, funny and kind. After the end of the official PEPS meetings, our group has continued to meet, although it is much harder to get everyone together with summer family schedules.

My partner and I joined the newborn PEPS group at first, and our group just didn't "click" that wonderfully. We decided to give it another try with a Baby Peppers group for older babies (~5-9 mos). It's a daytime group, and is all women, and luckily we seem to all click pretty well.

This was a great way for us to meet new parents and develop a support group. We really enjoy getting together with everyone and 1 year into it we still meet every other week.

I signed up for PEPS with my first, and had a group within 2 months of his birth. There were 8 of us, and now, 3 1/2 years later, 6 of us continue to meet regularly, and we are on our 2nd kids! It depends on who you get matched up with, and partly luck, but I'm so happy to have this group. The first sessions were great with the leader, who gave it structure, topics of discussion, songs, and motivation to keep the group going. I'm a supporter of PEPS still with donations, and think its a super resource for families with new babies. They've even expanded to Snohomish County which is awesome.

Before I had my baby, I'd heard a lot about PEPS. I'm not much of a joiner, but my husband and I were worried about me feeling isolated as a first-time SAHM. Signing up was very easy, and the program fee is very reasonable ($125/$175 for 12 weeks). You can join individually or as a couple and groups are small, around 10 babies. We rotate meetings among members' homes, and meetings are loosely structured, so we get lots of time to discuss the topic of the day. The best feature of PEPS groups is that they are arranged geographically, so moms live fairly close to each other. This is to encourage us to meet outside of PEPS.
