My son is 3 and on a discount day (Thursday afternoon) I decided to take him. I say it was worth it for the discount price, but I would wait until you have an older child to take them. I'd say most activities are for kids in that 4-7 year range. There are two rooms for smaller tots, but the main exhibits are mostly for the older ones. He did like the water room

Kids love this place, but it is very noisy and can drive parents crazy. In the middle is a wonderful, complicated climbing structure and there is no way to keep track of your kid in it. What works for us is to plan well. Both my child and myself wear easily identified or bright T shirts. I don't bring a purse--I cram my keys, etc., into pants with pockets. We both wear sneakers--you will be doing a lot of climbing no matter what! We agree ahead of time on where to eat afterward (or that we will brown bag it). (The neighboring McDonald's is awful.) We talk in the car about what to do if either of us gets "lost" inside. Then we have fun!

Don't go on a weekend, but my two year old just loves the place!

This is an incredible hands on museum for kids. Staff are friendly and very helpful. However, it's a little nutty with kids running around, some with parents who are not supervising as well as they should. I would never go on a weekend again as it was too busy.

I took the kids out to Port Discovery on Sunday. The had a Ball. This was the second visit to the museum and we will surely come back. They loved the robot building exhibit and my daughter loved the World of Water (WOW) exhibit. But their favorite is the huge slide, play house thing that they climb 4 stories high in.
