I am totally shocked at the comments on this page. I sat in the waiting room every bit of 10 minutes and watched the goings on of the staff. They answer phones, fill out school forms, write referrals, check in and check out patients, and take all the nastiness and rudeness from parents. Multitasking is not easy. This lady who came in and was totally disrespectful because she had to wait 2 min. to get her forms (while the rec. walked to the back to get it). The parents in this practice are spoiled and rude. They talk to the staff like they are nothing. I've never been turned down for a true emergency by this practice(fever does not constitute a true emergency to me) of which there were about 5 or 6 fever calls in the time I sat there. All of these parents were brought in the same day. My previous doc would've given advice and not scheduled an appt. for the same day. So when you compare practices, take all of this into consideration. The one thing I found out is that parents often complain when we don't get our way. Is that really fair to this practice. Has Dr. Edmonds not given great care to the children of this community despite the parents opinions?

fall of 2003, with my newborn son, i actually fell asleep in an exam room for 2 hours. (at least i got some rest, but still they totally forgot about me!) went only a handful of times after this until i found a new doc for my son--and every time the nurses were rude, they ran up to an hour past schedule, and we were repeatedly interrupted during our visit--some questions taking dr. edmonds back out of the exam room for another 5-10 minutes! need to professionalize the business side of their practice because patients are also customers.

My kids were in this practice for 2+ years and we finally switched. The problems are too numerous to list, but include interminable wait times, a feeling of being rushed through appointments, and nasty nurses. During the flu vaccine shortage in 2005, this practice was at its worst. Even children in the "high risk" category weren't guaranteed shots and were put on a waitlist. Due to the "administrative hassle" of administering flu shots, they decided in 2006 to no longer give them to anyone. For these and many reasons, I switched practices and couldn't be happier with my decision.

Dr. Edmonds is a delightful, committed pediatrician who takes the time to spend looking closely at your child. This is good because you sometimes have to wait quite some time for her time. The office is delightful and the support staff are incredibly baby friendly.

Wonderfully friendly, multicultural vibe, and my baby loves it. Long waits, though.
