I've used Parents in a Pinch for 11 years now, for my two daughters, 12 and 3. I had them as a benefit from 3 different jobs. I *never* had a bad sitter from them, and I'm very picky with child care. A few mornings they got a sitter to our door, in less than two hours from my call, because of a sick kid. Very reliable, competent and really nice people.

After reading some of the reviews I was bit nervous- but these caregviers were fantastic! My children were sick on 2 different days and everything went smoothly; I can't beleive I was so comfortable leaving my house. I checked in once during the day and all was well. My son still asks about or sitters weeks later.

I used them once when my regular nanny was on vacation, and was assigned a very professional caregiver who got along well with both of my kids. However, more recently, I discovered they are an excellent resource for helping to screen a nanny candidate I found on my own. I don't have a lot of free time to research the best background checks, or to call every reference listed, so I made one phone call to this agency, and found out that the nanny my husband and I instinctively liked also had a clean record and excellent references.

Heard about Parents in a Pinch for years but never needed to use it until I got divorced. Not only has it saved my career, but my picky son cannot believe that he likes every sitter better than the last one - -- and he loved his first one!

We used Parents in a Pinch the other day and it worked out really well! We got a call in the morning that the daycare was closed unexpectedly and my husband and I really couldn't take the time off at the last minute. We were really, really reluctant to use a sitter we never met but we didn't have any other options. My husband gets it through his job so it was affordable for us and some of his colleagues vouched for the program. The sitter and service were great. She was on-time, clean-cut, and she really played with the kids. Our son had a blast and told us all about their art projects and adventures around the neighborhood. We'll use them again.
