the ettiquette from a few parent's in this group seems different from other mother's club i've belonged to. for a number of items where i was told i was the 1st to reply to an item being sold and could buy it from them, when i replied back later in the day asking when i could pick it up - was told they already gave it away to someone else. usually, in other mother's club i have joined, mom's honor what they say. could be because this club has so many members, there's a broader range of how folks choose to sell their things. have also met moms in this club who also honor what they email/say. just had more not so positive experiences with folks in this club than good experiences though.

There are a lot of wonderful parents in this groups. Unfortunately there are many instances where no response if received when people ask for advice. The group is not set up to accomodate any dialog other than private emails, thus limiting the ability of the group to benefit from any discussions or counter-points.
This is a great place for finding used gear for sale and for obtaining referrals to home and child related service providers.

The mailing lists are great for questions about parenting and resources. You can also get very good deals at their marketplace list. Very large group with lots of ideas.
