QuoteMy husband and I are from the East coast and though we LOVE the midwest....we miss being close to beaches. That is, until we realized what was waiting for us at the North Avenue Beach. Yes, there is a lot going on by the volleyball courts (sometimes we like that). However, you can walk, stroll, or ride bikes (You can rent these there plus they also rent child carriers) just a mile to the south and you have a beach area perfect for families.

QuoteOne of my favorite things about this beach is there is a wheelchair access ramp all the way to the water. I push the stroller down the ramp which makes life so much easier! Fun, nice beach to play at!
