This little boutique carries the necessities for the first few weeks while you are nesting at home with your baby... organic cotton onesies, breast pump rentals and sales, mother's milk tea, breastfeeding bras, etc.
The only thing is, their hours are quite limited which is quite a huge drawback. Their prices are quite inflated when compared to the outside world *fenugreek capsules are $10 for a bottle of 100, online they are $8 for a bottle of 200*- but overall, this is a great shop to have.
If you have your baby at CPMC, you will likely end up here... just don't be terribly surprised at their prices, and also, how busy they can get.

I was visited by two of their lactation consultants while in the hospital and both were useless and dismissive -- I left the hospital with a dehydrated baby who had lost more than 10 percent of her body weight. This was despite my pleas for help to learn how to get our baby to latch on. After returning home, I once again tried to see a consultant and was snubbed by the receptionist. Luckily, I went elsewhere to see a private lactation consultant, who within minutes got us on the road to breastfeeding. Now why couldn't anyone at Newborn Connections do that?
On the plus side, Newborn Connections offers a free parents group and it has a large selection of nursing bras at reasonable prices.

Small little shop, but they know what they're doing and have great lactation consultants.

Newborn Connections has a small but well-thought-out selection of maternity and nursing clothes. It's not a destination when shopping for maternity clothes, but you should check them out if you are there.
