ChidlBirth Class :-
It is complete waste of time & money for below specified reasons.
- Instructor have absolustely no time management. Class timing was advertised as 9-4pm.
- There are no techniques taught in the class in depth. It is more like a lecture which could be delivered online also.
- Class is held in computer lab with 10 minute breathing exercise in 14 hours. You have to sit on chairs of computer lab; chairs with no arm rests.
Just imagine that 9 month pregnant woman need to sit on one chair, with no arm-rest for 3+ hours at one time for total of 7 hours in one day.
fied reasons.

I had a wonderful birthing experience at NYU. I feel very lucky! The nurses were sweet and helpful. The breastfeeding class that was offered was so helpful. I also attended the childbirth classes through NYU and they were really wonderful. They offer a breastfeeding class prior to birth that is also extremely helpful. You must get a brest friend. They are so useful!

I was surprised at how much the classes cost and I'm sure it depends on the teacher you get, but we had a fantastic nurse/teacher for our childbirth education class. I was surprised at just how much I learned.

The childbirth class at NYU offered the basics. Nothing fancy and not all that informative--especially if you are a mother-to-be who reads everything she can about childbirth and infants. However, it did offer a chance to tour the hospital's labor and delivery ward and become familiar with hospital protocol--important if you are planning on using the facilities for the big event. Also, my husband (not quite as well read as I), seemed to get a lot more from the classes then I did. It helped him prepare mentally for the birth, plus gave him some practical pointers.

My husband and I took both the prenatal and brestfeeding classes before having our first baby. I really don't remember anything from it and I think it was a waste of time and money.
