QuoteIt is called the Museum of Transportation, but it is mainly trains with an indoor display of some cool cars. My kids love to go on the train (#6011, I think) and ring the bell. There is also a tour included with admission that meets in the back train shed that allows you to go into so old passenger trains (only at certain times). We go here once every few months and the kids are always up for going. I wish that they let you in more trains, and we able to move things around more often to keep it fresher. It is also a bit pricey especially if you want to ride the new train that goes in a loop and the trolley (we usually do not do this part). It would be wise to become a member. The "Creation Station" is fun (additional fee and only select times)- this is where they also have birthday parties, it is mainly geared to toddlers and preschoolers.

QuoteWhat an amazing selection of trains. Bring your stroller for the young ones. The Creation Station is great fun for toddlers and preschoolers, but get there early to buy your passes because they can sell out for each session. The snack bar has a limited selection of food (hot dogs, etc.), so I'd recommend packing a cooler and picnicking or making lunch or dinner plans elsewhere. You can easily spend a few happy hours here and come home with some very tired kids.

QuoteMy daughter is a huge train fan, so I thought she would love the museum for her 3rd birthday. She seemed to enjoy it, but grew impatient after awhile (and after she found out that none of the trains would actually take her for a ride).

QuoteThe train rides are a blast. My kids love the Creation Station too. Museum admission is pricey, so we get a membership.

QuoteUp close fun for the kids/adults who love all things that move, especially trains! Climb inside trains, play at the train tables, or stand and watch real working trains go by.
