Great selection of new toys. Also a fine selection of used things- wooden kitchens and dollhouses in particular. Skip Craigslist for those- look here.

We love this store! It has great books and toys for all ages. The toys are fun without being gender stereotyped.

This dark cave is a treasure store of children's delights. I have a particular love for the place because of it's influence on my life - I became a professional ballerina because of a very unusual book they carried called "Life at the Royal Ballet School", which I used to pore over every time my mom took us there...until she gave it to me for my tenth birthday. I am expecting my first child and am looking forward to buying all my children's books and toys here, as well as gift items for other children. They are a Berkeley "landmark" and should be supported as one of the best independent toy stores in the whole SF Bay Area! Ownership may have changed over the years and I don't find the customer service as helpful these days, but their buyers are clearly top-notch. This is also a wonderful place for educational toys, games and materials, and cheap delights for birthday parties. I could go on and on!!!
