The Palo Alto Mothers Club is THE resource for parents. The e-mail lists are a great way to buy and sell baby stuff, there are tons of playgroups (and you can start your own), plus a very energetic group of volunteers who put on events like the annual Preschool Open House, Elementary School Open House and monthly speakers.
