I joined Mothers and More when my daughter was only 5 weeks old. Since my immediate family lived far away, Mothers and More became my strongest support system when I needed help caring for a new born. The support has continued as my daughter grew older. This group is also a great source of information for local activities, home improvement services and more. There are a number of chapters in MA and finding one close to your geographic area is easy. I belong to 2 of these chapters (Metrowest and Framingham) and love them both. If you are still uncertain whether to join or not, just go to one of the discussion meetings as a visitor and see for yourself. Joining these groups has also an added advantage of practicing your different skills or acquiring new ones by becoming a coordinator for subgroups. There is a variety of subgroups to choose from:Book clubs, playgroups, PR, advocacy, etc.I hope you take advantage of this wonderful organization. Connecting with other like minded parents really does make a difference.

This group is so supportive, friendly and fun! If you are a mom - from newborns to teens - this group will help you cope, make you smile, give you ideas, stimulate your mind; it's got something for everyone. The email loop alone is worth your membership!

This group is so great for a new mom who feels alone or a seasoned mom who feels like she's been there and done that. A wonderful, warm group that I've enjoyed kid outings with, Mom's night outs, hung out for book club night, joined in for a Mom only Scavenger Hunt, and have attended great meetings with speakers who spoke my language.
I can't speak highly enough of the support I've gotten from this group that truly cares for the care taker!

I've been to one meeting and one family event and so far my experience has been great. the members are friendly and the activities are fun.
