Many random things happened every time I shopped at Motherhood Maternity.
The most appalling...the weather was stormy and I was 9 months pregnant. My husband and I decided to go mall walking. Of course I had to pee... I went into Motherhood and asked to use their restroom. (keep in mind I frequented their stores throughout my pregnancy) The girl said it was for customers only and asked if I could at least walk around. My mouth dropped. I should have dropped my pants in the corner and showed her to mess with a very hormonal pregnant lady. Even if at the specific moment shopping was not on my mind...it might have been due to the good mood she could have put me in.
another...I went in asking for help with a nursing bra. the girl did not know squat. By the look on her face she could have convinced me she did not even know what nursing was. skinny broad.
another...They always ask you. "would yo like to be put on our mailing list for the parenting magazine? we can bill you right now?" we said no every time....yet our card was still charged!!
another...after all that I still went in to inquire about their version of the bella band. The manager at northgate (another skinny broad!!) said they are great....its the same as their secret fit pant...so I bought it. I got home tried it on with my pants and since it was one size it worked worth shit! I went back the next day to return it...she said because it was an intimate she would not take it back. Every time I bought bras or underwear there they made sure I signed my copy of the receipt acknowledging their return...this time the MANAGER didn't bring it up. So since I should as the consumer expect consistency...was shocked when this little girl running this stupid store would not take my return. She was the same one who sold it to me...what a snot face.
Among other times of walking into the store being a complete mess and a lot of the time not having my size...I will never step foot into their stores again.

I really hate Motherhood Maternity, Mimi Maternity, Pea in the Pod and all of the stores owned by this group (which I believe includes Macy's and Mervyns). Their clothes are okay...Pea in the Pod is probably nicer than the rest, but you pay for it.
The biggest problem I have is that their return policy is ridiculous. I tried to return something within the week that I bought it because it had a problem and was told by the clerk "sorry the computer won't let me do that". Is it because they know they have a near monopoly and they feel that they can take advantage of (their pregnant and desperate to find something that fits) customers?

I had a great time at this store when I was pregnant. The sales clerk was amazing and very attentive. She kept bringing me clothes that I might like and it was a great experience.

In Macy's.. quality and selection are hit and miss, as is the service. Bad return policy.. check before you purchase

This store and Mimi's are closely affiliated. If you find it in one, it is probably at the other, so skip going to both.
