Went in and requested they "paint" a piece for me with several names written on it... gave them 2 wks, made it clear I had a deadline. "No problem" they said. I checked two days before deadline, "it'll be ready." Day before, "It'll be ready, just show up at 10 a.m." Guess what? Party (for which I needed the gift) was at 2 pm--50 miles away, and my piece was still in the oven! They made NO apologies, refused to offer a discount or credit. VERY uncooperative.

Here’s my experience; you be the judge if this is a professional way to treat customers. My sister thoughtfully organized a shower for about 16 attendees several weeks in advance, checking the week prior to ensure that all plans were in place. Mad Potter was 30 minutes late in setting up for the shower.
Mad Potter made the following promises:
1) Allowing more time at the end of the party would make up the 30-minute late start. At the scheduled ending time, we were informed that an additional charge would have to pay for the additional time. The Mad Potter proceeded to pick up brushes and paints even before everyone was finished.
2) The tiles would be fired in the kiln and ready to glue and mount on the frame by the following weekend. The following weekend we called to find that the tiles were never sent to the kiln.
3) That the tiles would be ready the following weekend (1 wk later than promised). The following weekend, the tiles still had not been sent.
4) That the tiles would be ready the next following week (2 weeks later than promised). The tiles again were not ready.
5) The tiles were ready during the third week for arranging in the frame. Mad Potter promised that the tiles would be glued, caulked and the frame ready to hang by the following weekend. The following weekend the work had not been done.
6) The tiled-framed mirror would be ready to hang on pick up. The frame had not been wired for hanging.
The manager was made aware that the situation continued for 4 weeks and given the opportunity to make things right, but did not seem concerned about doing so. Promises to return calls to address the situation were not made and blame was shuffled from one person to the next. When I went to the store to pick up the frame, the manager had me waiting for 10 minutes to speak with him despite expecting my arrival. I would never recommend Mad Potter to anyone. It was a time-sapping and frustrating experience to deal with the manager and the employees.

This is a great place to design your own pottery. It's a lot of fun, plus you can bring your own wine and snacks if you like, for a mommies night out!
