I have heard rave reviews about Lullabye Lane. I was excited to finally check it out. My parents, husband, and six month old made the trek. We wanted to really look at the Phil and Ted stroller, the Britax car seats, and to purchase a conversion kit for our crib. I was excited to speak to someone firsthand.
Well, the first annoyance began at the front door. There is a sign posted, "No smoking within 30 feet of the front door." I read it from 10 feet away. However, there was a man standing right IN the doorway smoking a cigarette. He was looking around inside. I couldn't believe it. I had to ask him to move so that I could pass through with my baby. To make matters worse, the entire store reaked of smoke. Seriously? I couldn't believe that the manager or sales clerk allowed this to happen. So, clearly our first impression was not the best. However, I was willing to try and move past it. We ordered our conversion kit and then proceeded to look around. We checked out the carseats. A man asked if we wanted help and we said that we did. He sent someone over to us. I wanted the in's and out's of the various Britax models. We were fully prepared to buy one there. I definitely like to support businesses with great customer service and where you can touch and feel the product. Well, this was another diappointment. He basically just pointed out the various models. I asked what the differences were and he just said that the Roundabout was the smallest one. Okay...and...what about the others? In a nutshell, he wasn't helpful at all. Instead, we came home without our carseat. I went online and did my research on Britax.com and on Elitecarseats.com. We purchased the seat from www.elitecarseats.com since they offered FREE shipping on orders over $100.
I went to Lullabye Lane with the intent to buy the carseat. Well, they have lost my business and I do not see the point in going back. I will purchase our Backpack carrier elsewhere.

Lullaby Lane is the antidote for the frustrations we always feel with the big box baby megastore.
The staff goes out of the way to explain and compare products even when we were just still window shopping. When we were ready to buy, the service was excellent, and products that we had to order arrived on time. They carry quality brands and have a really nice selection for their size.

Wow, my experience wasn't anything like the other reviewers unfortunately. They didn't have the brands I was looking for (crocks) and were really disinterested in serving me.

I'm updating an earlier review (below). I'm SO impressed by their new stroller/car seat store. They're super knowledgable, have an amazing selection, and I received excellent friendly customer service.
It has a nice selection. I can't say the staff was super helpful or all that friendly the day I was there, but it wasn't bad service either. I couldn't find a pack n play i wanted or an activity mat, but there is a variety of items. It's not quite as nice as Goores (in Sacramento), but probably one of the better baby stores in the bay area.

purchased all of our baby furniture here, it is beautiful and sturdy, expensive but worth it!
