I avoid the LA Zoo as much as possible. I really don't have anything good to say about it. It's always hot, it smells, and the animals are never out. It seems like a ton of hoodlums hang out there and everything is always under construction. If your kid rides in a stroller, they can't see any of the exhibits unless you take them out each time. Mine HATE going in and out of the stroller, so they can't see anything being that low.

They are such majestic creatures.

It is a big zoo for a 4 and a 2 year old, but we are members so we go for a couple hours each time. We love the new gorilla exhibit.

We took our children to the LA Zoo on Easter which probably wasn't the best day to go but we really enjoyed ourselves. Our girls had a great time looking at all the animals and it was great just to be outdoors and walking around. It was awfully crowded but we still had a good time

We have a membership and go almost any chance we get. The family membership is a great deal especially since you don't have to pay for parking :)If you're done early you can always stop by the trains on the way home. It's a great place in the middle of tons of activities.
