This store has a decent selection of higher end baby items. I'm actually surprised to see so many negative reviews. Our experience was a good one. We had our hearts set on a specific stroller that only they carried (it was brand new on the market) so we went to test drive the stroller. The staff was very helpful and knew alot about the stroller we wanted. We live about 1.5 hours west so it was hard to go all the way there and back for a stroller, but thankfully they were able to have the stroller shipped to the NRH store for pick-up when it was ready. Overall it was a positive experience.

So I went to an event at Lone Star Baby last night. The invitation promised information on baby gear and no salesy stuff. I should have known better. The whole night was a push to get us to sign up for their registry, and they did nothing more than bad mouth other stores with registries, like babies r us. I even got cornered by some very big lady who was trying to get me to sign up for some website. Not at all what they had advertised. Trying to slavage the night, I asked one of their clerks a few questions afterwards to help decide between cribs. She would not give me a straight answer about price or how long I would have to wait. This place is very shady. No way would I register there.

I somehow got on this store's mailing list (without signing up) and decided to give it a try. I took in a coupon they printed in their newsletter and they refused to honor it! They said there were exceptions that were not printed on the coupon but moms could find out about them in the store. Are you kidding me? Can anyone say bait and switch?

This place a is a hit or miss kind of place especially with the staff. On weekend i seemed to always find someone very helpful, but days i have gone during the week, not much help. The quality and selection of baby furntiure is great. A little pricing but good. You really need to know what you want because the do charge a restocking fee.

Could not get waited on. The pro was I was yelled a hello as I walked in the door but never saw the person nor was approached again. I was looking for cribs since I am expecting and it is very hard to look at furniture since it is such a mixed jumble of products
