but you pay for what you get
better instruction than you would get at a community or recreation park program but you pay the price

My daughter and I love our weekly Baby and Me class. We swim at the Half Moon Bay location, but will be starting at the new San Francisco location in June. I actually learned to swim at La Petite Baleen myself, so it's fun that my daughter is a second "La Petite" swimmer. The teachers and staff are real professionals who clearly love what they do.

My son looks forward to going to his swim classes. We are in the toddler class so it gives more bonding time. Our instructor (Aprile) is wonderful, patient and kind. The classes are so much fun the children learn through play.

This swim school is the best. If you don't mind the drive it is worth every penny. They keep their pool at 90 degrees too so the kids to not complain about getting in.

One thing I would caution against is enrolling a child who is too young. I started taking my 3-month old, and while she wasn't afraid, it was more of hassle than what it was worth at this age! Our instructor was very nice; kind and loving toward the little ones.
