I had heard LLL called "milk nazi's" before I started bfing, but man, when you run into a problem, they ARE the best people to help you. I had a lot of problems around my daughter's first birthday, and even when I told everyone that I was nursing until at least two years, nobody but LLL gave me any advice other than to wean. LLL gave me SO much helpful advice, and the leader even met me during a non meeting time just to give me hands on advice. I can't make it to the meeting since it's right at my daughter's bedtime, but this is the best bfing support I could dream of.

The leaders and LLL group members provide much needed support to breastfeeding families. Even when I couldn't make the meetings on a regular basis, I still pay the small annual membership fee. I feel good about supporting this organization.

LLL of Lakewood was a WONDERFUL resource for me. Helpful, openminded women who were willing to listen, and follow MY heart, not theirs!

A must if planning on breastfeeding or not. They have so many resources available to the public! If they cannot help they'll diret you to someone who can!
