"the word-of-mouth survival guide for DETROIT parents"

Excellent instructors for all types of classes. Not to crowded. Has a kids club where for an extra cost you child can be watched for up to 2 hours. Well worth it.

This gym has many different types of classes, including body sculpting, spinning, Pilates, yoga, aqua aerobics, and kickboxing. There's an indoor pool, lots of weight machines, and different aerobic machines, as well as a free weight room. I've found the staff there to be unknowledgable-- they couldn't even explain how to program the recumbent bike-- so if you want to know something, ask a personal trainer. They're available for a fee, but if they're not busy, usually happy to assist. Great babysitting staff-- they greet the kids by name, are genuinely interested in everyone, and my kids never want to leave-- they've got arcade games as well as an indoor Little Tykes 8-in-1 playground, not to mention tons of toys. A baby area with a gate allows little ones to be cordoned off, and they've also got a couple of Exersaucers.
