"the word-of-mouth survival guide for SAN FRANCISCO parents"
Review added 8/29/2008

I was skeptical when I first heard about Kiddie Ko-op. How was it possible to really meet a babysitter at an "event" that sounded like social hour? But I obliged since my friend had invited me to go with her and registered me as a gift ($65)... Ended up being the most fun I've had looking for a babysitter (as if THAT's ever fun!?)
I was handed a name tag and a book containing the pictures and resumes of the sitters I was about to meet. A lovely young lady named Rina was our hostess and she rallied all of us together - there were other moms and dads (about 15 or so) and about the same amount of babysitters (mostly college students and some empty nesters). The sitters introduced themselves and the parents followed suit. Rina went ahead and had us parents talk to the sitters one on one.
I met so many great sitters that night that were all just a phone call away! I've since used 2 of the ones I've met and they just adore my daughter. They keep her entertained and I've never seen my little girl connect so quickly with a sitter before besides relatives.
I'm pretty shocked there aren't any reviews yet. But in a way, it's good - I'll get to hog all the good sitters in Silverlake to myself. Just Kidding.
