I've taken my son here every month (1mo, 2mo, 3mo, 4mo, 5mo, 6mo, 7mo, 8mo, 9mo, 10mo, 11mo, 12mo) until he turned 1, then went back for 18mo, and planning to come back at 2 years! I love this place, the people are very friendly and they do not rush your child. If you child doesn't want to cooperate then they will let you come back when you child is ready to have their photo taken. I've been to the Kiddie Kandids in Sterling Heights MI and the staff isn't as friendly as the people at Northville. I live in Rochester Hills and drive all the way down to Northville (which is about almost an hour drive) because it's worth it to get great photos! I highly recommend a photographer there, her name is Kim. She's really good with my son! Can't wait to go back for my son's 2 year photo shoot! It's better to purchase one of the packages, or else it gets VERY pricey! Quality of the portraits exceed my expectations almost every time!!! They are coming out with new backgrounds and themes, always updating their stuff!!!!

I found them patient and did not rush my 3 month old child. We went on a weekday and they were not busy and allowed us to return later when baby was more willing. It was discouraging that they only allow 6 poses and only send over 4 to pick from. While the pictures were good, it would have been nice to have more to choose from. I also found them expensive and had little flexibility and package choices. Portrait Innovations was a better value.

Prices are reasonable and it's nice to be able to take your photos home that day. Their system of no appointments is difficult because you really need to be there when they open at 9:00 a.m. to get a good sitting time, which still may be a couple of hours later.

Pictures were so so, they don't take appointments, they pick the 3 or 4 poses they like best and those are the only ones you get to choose from. Their prices aren't all that great and the extra's (black & white, sepia, borders) cost more money. The photographers look like they are in High School and really aren't all that creative when posing the child. One photographer was getting a bit aggitated when my 3.5 month old would not cooperate.
