I took two items - large items (stroller and playmat) - to be consigned there my first time. It will be my only time and I won't shop here any more. In the middle of the consignment period they donated my playmat because they claimed it had stains on it. First, the person receiving my items clearly and carefully inspected my items, it was not busy that day and she was not rushed. Second, she was confident she could consign my items with ease. Third, I was not given a copy of the consignment agreement, which apparently says in it that they can donate my item at any time without notifying me. I was given a small slip of paper reminding me when my consignment period was up and that at the end if I don't claim my item it becomes their property and they can donate it at that time. When I called to reclaim my items, a month after one was donated, I was treated quite rudely by the owner of the store. She was difficult and abrasive over the phone and it was one of my most disappointing customer service experiences ever. I expected a lot more from them given their reputation.
I understand not be able to call every consigner about items, and certainly someone who brings a lot of items may find that one or two are not considered acceptable and then donated, fine. But that is not at all my case here - again, I brought in two large items that were thoroughly checked before I left the store.

This is my favorite consignment store because they are picky on what they take in AND they carry women's clothes so I can trade in my baby clothes for new stuff for me! I have found some great items here at fair prices for both myself and my boys. My only complaint is that I have had my trade-ins accidentally donated when I specifically stated not to, however I still shop there because they were very apologetic and sweet about it.

THE best consignment store in Portland. They are savvy and have included gently used women's clothing also. Where else can you shop for you and your kids? Since they also sell toys there is a toy area which may occupy your tots while you shop. They won't take certain more common brands, like Osh Kosh or Vitamins, regardless of their condition, as they are geared to higher end clotheshorses.

This place has great, gently used, boutique brands at good prices. The owners are sisters who are very kind and friendly. There is even a little play area in this cozy store.
