This store is full of great things. It is a bit on the expensive side. I always get great service when I go in.

Karl’s has the absolute best selection in children's furniture and bedding. I live in NJ and travel across the bridge to shop here. I bought everything for my first baby here and when I recently had my second, I came back again. I tried doing the Babies R Us thing (but everything seemed cheap), looked at Pottery Barn too (but felt it to be too common), and the baby websites I had a hard time with b/c I wanted to feel and see the quality. Karl's will definitely give you quality and many, many, many options with all price points in mind. I purchased furniture in a style that my kids will grow with and b/c of the quality, I know it will last. And the staff I found to be extremely HELPFUL. I think it is sad that sometimes a very knowledgeable and helpful sales person is perceived as being pushy and rude. After all, that is what they are there to do. Other stores you'll walk in and nobody even approaches you...and that is not the shopping experience I am looking for. And I've been in Karl's w/out buying and simply stated I was “looking”. This statement was respected and I went along with my browsing. I would absolutely recommend Karl’s for a super fun baby shopping experience!!!!

I saw some positive reviews on this family-owned business and decided to check it out. They did offer me the best deal on the furniture collection we wanted for our baby due March 18th this year. I ordered the furniture late--January 19th--and was told to expect a delivery date of March (that's a month, not a date, but I went with it). Actually, it took them a week to get me the delivery estimate. I was originally told that they would have a delivery estimate 3 days from the order date. Apparently that was the first lie.
I was told that they would contact me sometime in February and let me know if it was early, mid, or late March. I reminded them that I was due mid-March. Since I ordered late, however, I felt that I had no right to be pushy about when I'd get the furniture. I should have been.
My sister thought that it was ludicrous that the delivery would take so long and called Karl's in the third week of February without my knowledge. Somehow she got the name of the sales associate at the furniture company and found out from that individual that the furniture company had everything in stock; they were just waiting for Karl's to get a truck up there. She worked something out with them and got them to agree to deliver in the first week of March.
Well, on March 5th, while I was being admitted to the hospital in labor (my daughter was born on the 6th), I received a phone call from Karl's. My husband spoke with them and they said they'd have everything delivered by Tuesday the 10th between 8:30 and 12:30.
They called me on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. to say they'd be delivering 2 of the 3 pieces that afternoon. They would not tell me why the remaining piece--which we were told was in stock 3 weeks ago by the furniture company--would not be delivered at the same time, but they promised to have it the following week. The delivery guys, who were excellent, also said that afternoon that they would be back next week with the last piece.
Well, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the following week go by and no word from Karl's. Friday morning I try Brad, the "customer service" representative, and get no answer. I finally leave a message expressing my concern about the undelivered pieces.
It's now Thursday of the following week. My husband called this morning and left another message for Brad. Curiously, Brad called ME around 4:15 and said that they'd have the remaining piece delivered on Monday the 30th--of course, they'll have to call me with a time frame.
I reminded Brad that we were told the furniture would be delivered LAST WEEK and that we know it has been in stock for a month now. All he said was that he'd try to deliver it sooner if he could. I did not receive an apology for his delay in calling me back or the outright LIE about when my furniture would be delivered!
Please, DO NOT do business with these liars! I wish I hadn't. If I do not receive my furniture by Monday, I will be involving the Better Business Bureau. Maybe then Brad, Adam, et al will consider the importance of honesty in business.
