QuoteI was really disappointed in the amount of work I put into the sale and how little I got out of it. I just participated in the Longmont sale and I sold 95% of the 100 items I bar coded but participating in the sale cost me more money and time than it was worth. After purchasing the hangers, safety pins, card stock for the bar codes and then a $10 consignor fee, I spent at least $25. On top of that I spent two full days preparing the clothes for the sale. I spent another hour to drop everything off and hang it at the sale myself. I usually drop off my clothes at a consignment store and stop by back by the store at the end of the day. The consignment store cuts me a check for what they think they can sell and they prep all the clothes for me. I invest very little time and in the past I've made about the same amount of money. As a buyer, I ended up leaving the few items I found that I needed such as winter coats and boots. The check out line was a half hour or more wait when I went to check out the sale during the "special" time designated for consignors (and anyone who happened to be a friend of a consignor).

QuoteI have shopped every JBF sale in Denver and consigned for all but the first one. I will continue to be involved because the event is well organized, well attended and gets bigger each season. The more people who are involved, the more money I make and the better bargains I find for my family too! I will never go to a consignment store again.

QuoteI love consigning and volunteering at the Just Between Friends sale in Denver. Consigners receive 65% and get their check after just one weekend. I buy a lot of clothing and toys under one roof which also saves shopping time and money.

QuoteI started consigning here when Just Between Friends started. It was the first of its kind in town, and has grown...the owner usually knows all of the consignors by name ( there are a couple hundred), gets my check to me no more than two weeks after (usually 10 days) and now has a bar code system which makes my life so easy. I have checked out the other sales in the area: usually not many shoppers come ( which means no sales for the me), and they are mostly trying to be like Just Between Friends, except they are not. To me, its a no brainer: if you want to sell your stuff, and want to shop for discounted stuff...why not do it at the most recognized, largest sale possible... And whoever wrote the other review...surely you are trying to promote your's or your friend's business. Too obvious.

QuoteI consigned here and shopped. It was ok. I felt like everything was pretty disorganized and not planned well. I consigned right after to Back 2 The Rack sale and was totally pleased. Very friendly, I had my check right away. I'd go there again first but if they didn't exist, I think I would do Just Between Friends again. I just wish the owner were more honest and friendly. Have had other friends consign there to with similar feelings. We've all moved to Back 2 The Rack and other places locally.
