QuoteWeekdays at 10:30am is tot rock. The performer changes with the day. We happen to like Mondays with Miss Belle and Thursdays with Oh Susannah. We have not been to Rocknoceros Wednesdays but I have heard good things (especially if you have school aged children). The space is large and appealing to walkers and dancers (crawlers will also delight but their parents may not as the floor reminds me of a typical bar floor). The coffee is good for mom or dad and Cheerios and other toddler snacks are available for purchase. There are also many weekend shows that vary in price. Usually the weekend shows are more appropriate for kids ages 4 and up, but it depends on your child's tolerance for crowds and noise. COST: $5.00/child (adults are free) http://arlingtonvaplay.blogspot.com/search/label/music

QuoteJava offers children's music programs every weekday at 10:30am. So far, we've seen the Banjo Man (Fridays) and Rocknoceros (Weds). Atmosphere is bare bones...ok a dive. But shows last about 45 minutes and it's a great morning outing. Cost is $5 for your child and parent gets in free. You can order coffee, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, bagels and they even have things for the kids - small cheerio boxes, applesauce, fig newtons etc. Get there a little early if you want to sit at a table. My only criticism is one of other Moms. I realize this is a very casual environment; however, it is still a performance and not a time to conduct a long conversation with other Moms. The kids may be talking, dancing, & singing, but Moms need to show the performers (and other patrons) a little respect and not conduct loud conversations throughout the entire show.

QuoteAlthought the coffee house is definately not Starbucks and the atmosphere is a little shady, the daily morning tot concerts are worth checking out. Each morning at 10:30 am a new tot music artist performs and encourage the toddlers to get off their feet and dance. Fee is $5 each time (come when you want) and moms can get their coffee fix and socialize, as well.

QuoteThis is a great coffee shop that has childrens performaces every day at 10:30am. There is a $5 charge per child ($7 for two children, under 1 is free), but I think that is a bargain for a nice setting to listen to good music and let your children dance. It's a nice perk that I cal also grab a coffee while I am here!
