We have been patients of Dr. Downes and the other staff members for almost 9 years. I choose this office because Dr. Downes was recommended by my OB. She and everyone in this office are knowledgeable, helpful and extremely friendly. They go out of their way to make sure your children are taken care of. I have never had a billing problem and am extremely satisfied with every aspect of this office. Dr. Downes is local in Irvine and even remembers her patients names when you see her around town. We feel blessed to be able to be part of Irvine pediatrics.

I couldn't have agreed more with the lady about poorly run billing dept. I am fed up with them. I've decided to switch to another pediatrician because of their poorly run billing dept which gives me headache, and waste my time on calling my insurance company to clear things up and having to have the office resend the claims which was as result of their mistakes. They just seem very unorganized and I am tired of wasting my time clearing things up with them on the phone, gathering my information, having to fax info etc...

The doctors are okay. This place is a "baby mill" meaning that it's a huge office with multiple doctors, and many kids come through the doors. So the service provided by the doctors seem a little rushed so they can move on to the next patient. I don't feel like I get personal attention and I feel like I'm being rushed out the door. But the real reason I will not recommend Irvine Pediatrics to ANYONE is because of their billing practices. I've switched to a new doctor who used to have kids who went to Irvine Pediatrics. She got her kids out of there because of their billing. What does that say about their billing department?

I am an expectant mother and my experience at Irvine Pediatrics was wonderful. I attended the Maternity Tea that they host for expectant mothers and it was great. Dr. Downes answered all my questions about Irvine Pediatrics and the care that my child will recieve after they are born. She was very informative and very patient with everyones questions. I have decided to make Irvine Pediatrics my health care provider for my child. Overall I definitely think I made the right decision with Irvine Pediatrics and Dr.Downes and am confident they will take wonderful care of my baby.

I have 2 boys who just love Dr. Downes. Dr. Downes always makes time to see the boys, she has even come in on holidays so we didnt have to sit in the er for hours. I love the walk in hour in the morning so I dont have to miss much work. The front office staff is very friendly and helpful. Nurse Jaye who does return phone calls is absolutley the best, she knows everything. Hope this helps others who want good quality care.
